Meet the Hosts
Jordan Drake – Co-Creator, Producer, Host
Jordan is an accomplished audio producer and show host. He got his start in the broadcast business in September of 2005 by creating, producing, and hosting a small internet radio show (known as a podcast) for an international computer forum. From his personal studio, he has produced each episode of the OCF Podcast (named after the OCForums – www.ocfpodcast.com) to inform and entertain members of a dedicated group (over 80,000) of computer savvy enthusiasts. Jordan has recently been hired by The Tech Report – an internationally known tech news and reviews website (www.techreport.com) – to produce and host the Tech Report Podcast. Both shows have an international audience, and a dedicated listenership. In the summer of 2007, Jordan also worked for nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh as a news researcher and content provider.
Before developing proficiency in broadcast hosting and audio production, Jordan built a computer consulting business in the High Country called Friendly Computer Help, providing in-home help to computer users. He also works as the purchasing manager and product specialist for The Washington Network, a computer networking and phone systems provider based in the Washington DC area. As purchasing manager, Jordan has worked on projects for such companies as the National Sheriff’s Association and The Next Big Thing, a political campaign company contracted by presidential hopeful Barrack Obama. His technical knowledge extends to everything from audio and video production to the latest software and hardware for both the Mac and the PC.
Jake Brown – Co-Creator, Webmaster, Host
During his early teenage years, Jake began working for Apex Computers & Networking in the Boone area and later for Reid Armstrong at Armstrong Computers. An avid photographer, graphic designer and gamer, he makes technology work seamlessly with the rest of his life, and enjoys helping people do the same. As co-host, Jake will be providing our show with colorful segments discussing the latest games and movies, talking about new and exciting mobile products like the iPhone, and of course – helping callers with their tech problems. He comes to the show with mostly audio production and editing experience, and is excited to be working in front of the mic.
