Tech Tip – Install Windows 7 on your XP machine using an upgrade copy:
The Windows Super Site has step by step instructions for how to buy a cheaper upgrade copy of Windows 7 and using that to install Windows 7 on your XP machine. It’s a bit geeky (some registry editing involved) but a great way to save money.
Tech Tip – 7 Things to know before you upgrade to Windows 7:
Jordan and Jake run through a helpful Wired Magazine list which details the ins and outs of the Windows 7 upgrade process. Jordan recommends using the Windows 7 hardware compatibility checker before you buy an upgrade copy.
Jake’s computer woes – new power supply – new hard drive:
Jake gives an update on his latest computer adventure. He’s replaced a broken power supply, added a terabyte of storage, and upgraded to Windows 7. He’s also driving around a new car.8

David wants to know how long Microsoft will support XP. The date has changed over the years and right now is 2014.
Tech Review – Product showdown – Neat Receipts vs. ScanSnap:
Jordan had a lot of fun a few episodes ago reviewing the NeatCo Neat Receipts scanner. Before giving his final take, however, he decided to try the major competitor – the Fujitsu ScanSnap. In product vs. product battle – Jordan decides which document/receipt scanner takes it’s place as our favorite.
