Special Guest Tech Review – Billy Hime reviews two gadgets:
Billy Hime of BillyHime.tv joins our hosts to review two interesting tech gadgets. The RichardSolo 1800 is an external iPhone battery that doubles the battery life of your iPhone. Billy likes the life extending features, as well as the included laser pointer and flashlight features. If you’re looking for a gift for the iPhone user in your life – they probably wouldn’t expect this! Our guest also got a chance to play with the Peek. This device is created solely for mobile email and texting so it doesn’t make calls – browse the web – or play music. Jordan and Jake are both put off by the $20/month service charge that comes with the device, but Billy suggests that for someone who is not tech savy – doesn’t need a fancy phone – this might be a great tech gadget. Listen to the episode for the full review on both of these products.
Digital Life Radio Giveaway – iTunes gift card:
Our hosts started the 3rd segment by raffling off a $10 iTunes giftcard. The lucky winner was Matt Pippen from Texas! To enter for all future Digital Life Radio giveaways – including the two Seagat external hard drives that we reviewed on this weeks show – send your name – email address – and phone number to contact@digitalliferadio.net
Product Review – Seagate FreeAgent Go:
Jordan is a big fan of external hard drives, particularly those in the smaller 2.5″ form factor. The size makes it easy to transport, and the drive power requirements are low enough to be powered by the USB cable – not wall plug required. Western Digital has been leading the market with their small – inexpensive Passport drives. Seagate has recently released their version of this portable form factor and both of our hosts are impressed with the result. The Seagate FreeAgent Go drives add an extra bit of polish and quality to the product, and also include an optional docking station. This accessory and asthetic, combined with impressive transfer speeds, puts this drive on the top of our wishlist. You can listen to the episode for the full reivew. The best part? We’re giving away two of these 320gb drives on our show in the coming weeks – to enter for the giveaway – email your name – email address – and phone number to contact@digitalliferadio.net
